People Will Die: Trump Orders 'Action' Against Possible Indictments

Okay. Trump did not use the word “order” or action, or whatever. But he doesn’t need to. This is the man who needed only to tweet, “It will be wild,” to get a response that “served as a call to action and in some cases as a call to arms.”

How do you suppose most MAGAs will respond to “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST,” as Trump posted last weekend when he - wrongly - said he would be arrested on Tuesday? Most of us assumed that D.A. Alvin Bragg’s attorneys had contacted Trump’s camp as a courtesy to arrange a quiet, backdoor booking. It turns out that Trump was simply misreading news reports. Typical. But Trump still fears indictment enough to put out this message two days ago. As you read, keep the “It’ll be wild” comment in mind. (All Caps in Original)

WHY WON’T BRAGG DROP THIS CASE? EVERYBODY SAYS THERE IS NO CRIME HERE. I DID NOTHING WRONG! IT WAS ALL MADE UP BY A CONVICTED NUT JOB WITH ZERO CREDIBILITY, WHO HAS BEEN DISPUTED BY HIGHLY RESPECTED PROFESSIONALS AT EVERY TURN. BRAGG REFUSES TO STOP DESPITE OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY. HE IS A SOROS BACKED ANIMAL WHO JUST DOESN’T CARE ABOUT RIGHT OR WRONG NO MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE HURT. THIS IS NO LEGAL SYSTEM, THIS IS THE GESTAPO, THIS IS RUSSIA AND CHINA, BUT WORSE. DISGRACEFUL!

Yesterday, Alvin Bragg got his first death threat. In an envelope filled with white powder. Some MAGA wrote, “Alvin Bragg, I will KILL YOU!!!!!!” And whoever wrote it did so on behalf of this man, the one who called the black Alvin Bragg an “animal” backed by Jews. (“Soros” is MAGA code for Jews). This man is the one who will bring about violence and death to save himself, and the violence will be carried out by people like the woman who speaks below.

Trump doesn’t want prayers. He pays lip service to God but only to further himself as the God of the MAGAs who increasingly equate the two. Yesterday, Trump briefly posted what he really wants. He wants Bragg beaten to a pulp if not just dead. The post caused such an outcry, even in the New York Post (A Trump-supporting paper), that people called him insane. No shit? It doesn’t matter that Trump deleted it. As you can see, the message is still out there. I picked it up this morning on Twitter.

Dehumanization is one of the first requirements in asking people to kill for you, and you’ll notice that there are far more people on that list than just Alvin Bragg. No, Trump wants retribution, or vengeance (As I wrote two weeks ago) against Obama (“They spied on my campaign!), essentially “all Democrats,” given we “rigged” his election, Democrats in Congress who impeached him, and Alvin Bragg, to be joined by any other prosecutor who indicts him. We are all “human scum,” and his MAGAs (“The Whole Country”) won’t take it anymore.

So what is left? What can these MAGAs do to protect Trump - thus protecting themselves - against this human scum, these animals?

Yes, this was the response to “It’ll be wild,” and a lot of internet chatter about what was meant, some of it surely coordinated by people sympathetic to Trump. But January 6th was centralized. It was focused on the Capitol and an event that would only occur on one day. Indictments will come as a surprise (almost surely), and the courthouse buildings will be guarded with whatever it takes if the MAGAs descend upon it.

We do not need to worry about another January 6th. We need to worry about lone wolves, or - more accurately, likely small packs of them.

That is what we need to worry about. Any attack on a federal building is an attack against the FBI, DOJ, the Biden administration, and all those people and institutions aligned against Trump.

Now, consider this. Who will Trump blame for any deaths? Will the MAGAs look on and say, “No, people went too far; this should never have happened”? Or will Trump say that the people responsible for the attack are those who are persecuting him, the prosecutors, the FBI, and Biden? Trump will repeat that regular Americans simply won’t take the injustices done to him anymore while demanding that the indictments stop, so the violence stops. Correct. He will not demand that the MAGAs protest peacefully. He has yet to use the word “peacefully” in calling for protests. He has no problem with his people killing if he thinks it helps him. And he will but it won’t.

It is probably unlikely that a federal building as big as the Oklahoma City building can be so viciously attacked in 2023. These buildings have been hardened since that attack. But guns are ubiquitous, and the AR-15 is a tool of war. If just three to four “wolves” attacked a target like a federal building, the death toll could be massive.

Synagogues are also targets. There is a reason that suddenly “George Soros” has been frequently used and that Trump has been dining with prominent anti-Semites. Trump’s people see themselves as a movement to preserve white, Christian, traditional rule.

Trump’s response would be the same. “The people indicting me are responsible for these attacks. I warned them that the American people wouldn’t take it anymore.” If Trump spoke out against the violence, he’d give away the intimidation he thinks he desperately needs. In truth, it would further cement the need to stop him.

It is really hard to tell if Trump actually thinks that the “American people” are behind him or whether he knows that he leads only about 33% of the citizens generally. When one counts DeSantis and the traditional Republicans, it gets close to 40-45%. But the Republicans are not a majority, and the reason we know is that they have busily done all they can to cap voting. Republicans have won ONE popular vote in a presidential election in 30 years.

My dad thinks I’ve got it all wrong. He believes that Trump supporters saw what happened to the violent MAGAs on January 6th, and none would be stupid enough to fight Trump’s wars again. I hope he’s right. But I’m more worried about the martyrs who don’t care about prison because they don’t plan on being alive at the end of the day.

To quote Trump again - and remember how strongly they obey - “the whole country sees what is going on, and they’re not going to take it anymore.” He also ordered them to “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST.” There haven’t been any indictments filed; there has been one death threat. The violence that is coming is awful. Innocent people will almost surely pay a high price, some likely the highest. But it’s certainly worth investigating and indicting Trump anyway. He remains a national security threat and has fascism planned for America should he be “elected” again.

What the American people really need is to not to take it anymore and dispose of Trump for good, a prison cell and/or irrelevance and nowhere near power ever again. That’s the hope. To the extent the MAGAs react violently, an even bigger majority of Americans will wake to the dangers posed and refuse to let it happen again.
