The 'Biden Boom' Is Setting Fire to Twitter and It Is About Time!
Finally, someone's noticed and the credit is going where it should
It was just a week ago that Fox and Friends Brian Kilmeade, usually the most rabid MAGA and anti-Biden personality of the usual threesome (Blonde in Middle, always), went over the top in praising the Biden administration’s handling of the global inflation issue.
From Yahoo News:
“To me, this would be the perfect time to say, listen, our numbers aren’t perfect, but we have better numbers than any other country in the world. And compare yourself to China, compared to Russia, compared to any European nation... you know, Japan’s got this low inflation and people have certain areas — our numbers look good.”
“I’d say, hey, listen, look at me. We have some challenges, but compared to everybody else, we’ve worked our way out of it.”
It could not have been said better on Morning Joe. WTF?
Ainsley Earhardt had to make Fox News sound like Fox News again by saying, “But Americans don’t just want to be better, they want it powering along as the best.” Her point is as silly as it sounds. Every person reading this understands that while different countries respond to global problems differently, there is no way for any country to avoid higher oil prices. Same with grain and auto parts preventing new cars on lots. ust a few things driving up prices worldwide in response to China essentially shutting itself down.
The title of the article was Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Makes Stunning Defense of Biden Economy, ‘Better Numbers than Any Country on Earth.’ But we’re going a little deeper, too.
Is it possible that having an extremely experienced president with an ass-kicking team at both the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department makes a difference?
Twitter says, “Yes!”

All of the above came out before Friday’s job numbers, which only makes Kilmeade’s point go that much deeper. Bad economies usually come with high unemployment. Except…
As the Lincoln Project states:
BIG: A casual 12.1 million jobs added to the U.S. economy in just 2 years. 5 million jobs in the past year. And an unemployment rate at 3.4%, the lowest in 50 years. Say it with me: #BidenBoom
One guy did not share in the enthusiasm and - to “win the morning” - pffft, Trump put out his take on Truth Social. He wasn’t excited about the job numbers or hearing about a Biden Boom:
This is how I feel about our Country, and how it is being totally ruined and destroyed!
Oh, well, that’ll turn them right around. That’s a sound argument. Scream in fury.
The fact is if the economy continues to improve over the 18 months, and reasonable people can disagree on projections as to whether it will or will not if the economy continues to improve during Biden’s term, even DeSantis will have very little chance.

Social Issues:
Despite the volume with which they protest, the Republicans are in a minority with respect to their social issues. Why else would corporate America side with the Democrats on divisive things like: “Don’t say gay,” “Masks on Planes, events,” and “Gas stoves forever!” I will allow that corporate America may have a minor sliver of conscience when it comes to social issues, but we know that they will side with the majority of customers 95% of the time. They have made their position clear, especially in Florida.
When corporate America is on the Democrats’ side? Well, one can be sure that they’re not going to do anything that “looks” like the economy is getting worse near election time, as they have done in the past.

Investigations
With respect to investigations digging up dirt on Democrats? (It can be considered a social issue. It certainly isn’t an economic one) If there was actually a huge and meaningful social issue exposed, it could hurt the Democrats. But go back to the Clinton years, through Obama… the Republicans have unknowingly given the Democrats a massive gift with their investigations, which always go too far, too strong, and never-ending. Are the Republicans supposed to be better with Gossar, Taylor-Greene, and Perry on these Committees? Pfft. It is 90% more likely to be an anchor going into the 2024 elections.

Immigration.
This is where Democrats are weakest, but they have time to stitch up some of the problems at least, and one can be sure it will be done. Any president that followed Trump would have a border overrun with asylum seekers and illegal job seekers. Biden has actually deported more illegal immigrants than Trump, though that’s likely a product of raw numbers coming across.
Asylum seekers present themselves at the border, per international law, and are entitled to a hearing as to whether they are truly being persecuted in their own country. If the answer is yes, they are to be let in until their country is safe. Admittedly, once in, precious few leave. Trump basically sent absolutely everyone back. Many died at the airport.
But the country needs workers! We have always relied on immigration to keep up with the need for production. This is not as big a problem as sold by the conservatives.

Biden - assuming he runs, and if things are great, he’s more likely to run - is far more likable than anyone the MAGAs can put up, which, right now, is almost necessarily limited to Trump and DeSantis. DeSantis’s cruelty, even when put up against Trump’s, may play extremely well with Florida MAGAs, but in a general election, there will be a lot of horror stories floating about.
If Biden runs, his age will be a concern. But if the country is solidly on the right track, combined with that likeability thing and no surprises with Hunter or files (Highly unlikely for a man with 40 years of experience), he would almost surely mow over the MAGA even if Liz Cheney doesn’t jump in as an Independent to drain 5-10% of the vote from the right.
Things change. What seems wonderful today can - sometimes quickly - turn awful. But those changes, with odds based on history, are far more likely to hit the MAGA GOP as things are lined up now. So the Democrats look very good now and have every reason to believe it will carry through to November 2024. Whether the MAGAs allow a Democrat to be elected president again when they believe they have a right to a win (based on a false “steal”) without violence is a topic we have covered and will do so again.
So, yeah, why not? #BidenBoom. Just include much more than economic numbers.
