Qanon Teacher Rants About Hunter, Says Trump Is Still President, Arizona Sup. Ct. Smacks Down MAGA Dream Law in TWO Hours., Tucker Is 'Appalled' Trump Isn't Donating Money!
BEWARE OF THE MAQanon TEACHERS ON THE LOOSE
"If you have a baby in the hospital, they don't want to give it back if you're not vaccinated," the teacher told her students. "This is a complete power control threat."
'Hunter Biden, for example, is doing deals with China and Ukraine and all these places where he was funneling money illegally. 'He also had child pornography on his laptop. He was having sexual intercourse with his own niece.'
“Trump is still president.”
Anonymous (for now) 8th Grade History Teacher, Ventura California, Audio Taped. As reported in The Guardian.
There are some of us with a special fondness for 8th graders, given that one lives in this home. All parents gain universal insights into children, one of the most obvious of which is that it is all but impossible to fool a child over ten. One has far better luck fooling a 30-year-old (Pay Day Loans?). Kids seem to have a sixth sense. So one might think that every 8th grade teacher would have an even deeper appreciation for the futility of attempting to manipulate 13-14-year-olds.
But therein lies the point. Obviously, the quotes above come from a single teacher and obviously I would never write a general indictment of “teachers,” who are some of the most trusted people in the community. But when cults form, and true beliefs harden, people like this are not “manipulating” 8th graders so much as trying to implant a fundamental truth, or at least the truth as the cult sees it. And, this isn’t the only teacher in the cult.
The Qanon cult’s reach is diminishing, but it’s significant enough to still be a threat. Understandably, that threat upset a parent who heard the rant recorded by their child… recorded because this evidently wasn’t the first Q-Go-Round with this teacher, and the parent had instructed her child to turn his phone on to capture the events as they occurred.
Sarah Silikula, the mother of the student who recorded the concerning comments, who had previously instructed her son to pull out his phone and start videotaping if he ever felt uncomfortable in class, told Los Angeles' CBS 2 that the impromptu lesson left her child confused and 'damaged.
The vast vast majority of teachers work their asses off daily in this country and care about their students individually, we’ve all seen firsthand. But in an environment where there is a significant portion of the population that follows these cultish beliefs, we just cannot allow ourselves to be shocked when incidents like this happen.
It is a reminder, though, to check in with our own children or grandchildren and ask them what they’re hearing in school. They are almost impossible to manipulate but that is not quite the same as “impossible,” which becomes vitally important when some people in this country are poo-flinging monkey insane. Just check-in, the kids are alright. Their sincerity will almost always match yours and and they will tell you the truth.
Arizona Supreme Court Restores the Rule of Law: Legislature Cannot Unilaterally Ban Whatever Their MAGA-Hearts Want in One Statute
One of the more curious things about Republicans is that they will always tell you that they’re against big government. The first question that one might want to ask upon hearing this self-important pronouncement is “Whose big government?” Because, at times it seems as though there is nothing Republicans love more than some big STATE government. Ask Florida with Ron DeSantis telling businesses and school districts how to run their COVID policies, or ask the state of Arizona, that did all they could to run everything out of Governor’s office and crazed legislature, and got their ass kicked today for their troubles. According to the Arizona Republic:
The Arizona Supreme Court found that several provisions of the 2022 budget, including a controversial ban on face mask mandates in K-12 schools, violate a provision of the state constitution requiring individual bills to encompass a single subject.
The ruling will likely bring about a seismic shift in the way lawmakers craft future budgets.
A shift in budgets, huh? You mean like; “You can’t have any money unless you teach nothing but American exceptionalism, rip out the sinks so kids can’t wash their hands, and teach intelligent design”?
Now the good part:
Less than two hours after it heard oral arguments in the case on Tuesday, the justices unanimously upheld a trial court ruling that several budget bills violated a section of the Arizona Constitution known as the “single-subject rule.” That rule mandates that legislation embrace “one general subject” and that the subject be clear in the title of the bill.
A unanimous state supreme court ruling in less than two hours after oral argument? Un. Heard. Of. Literally never heard of anything similar happening before absent a last minute death penalty appeal or something.
There is one very serious takeaway and that is this. Right now, the courts are doing more to keep this country functioning as a democracy than any other branch. The state legislatures have staff attorneys. They surely told the legislators “You cannot do this!” But the entire MAGA movement has been autocratic from the start. Was anyone, on either side, ever of the impression that Trump cared about laws? No, that was very much part of his appeal to the Right. And it appears that the attitude has begun to flow down from the top.
It did not take the court long, we’ve all been to lunches that last longer than the Arizona Supreme Court took in dispensing with the emotion-fueled, thoughtless, legislation.
Tucker Carlson Finds It “Appaling” that Trump Hasn’t Sent Any January 6th Rioters Any Money.
I must confess, I was under the impression that the evening analysts at Fox News knew Trump, if not personally, at least knew of Trump’s personal “gifts” and… weaknesses? But, no. Fox’s current hottest product, Tucker Carlson has evidently not only never met Trump but never really read anything about him. Tucker cannot believe Trump hasn’t financially helped out the January 6th rioters:
Carlson, while interviewing right-wing commentator Julie Kelly, said he finds it “appalling” that Trump had yet to donate any money to his supporters who were arrested on January 6th at the U.S. Capitol.
Now, one must be a bit careful here in immediately jumping in and slamming Trump for not financially donating money to these people. These are, after all, alleged criminals, many of whom hurt uniformed police officers. In many ways, it would be far more appalling if Trump did give them money.
The hilarious part is that Tucker would think that Trump would give money away to any cause other than something utterly necessary to save himself, like giving Stormy Daniels $130,000 (that was nice of him). No, the people that attacked the Capitol are criminals and responsible for what they did.
But big picture? They were cannon fodder for a bigger plan that has yet to be pieced together fully - thanks in large part to utter inaction by the FBI and DOJ. Trump doesn’t give money away to canon fodder. Hell, he doesn’t give money away to Rudy Giuliani, who was running all over the globe committing crimes (allegedly) for him and could still possibly put Trump in prison by telling the right people the right things. Trump once promised to pay the attorneys’ fees for anyone who smacked around someone interrupting a campaign rally. He wasn’t sincere in that promise then, and he certainly won’t be promising to help anyone in this matter.
Offer to sincerely help your 8th grader some day, they will sincerely appreciate it and deserve it.

Thank you, for the privilege of your time, getting to the bottom. It is difficult to explain how honored one feels when people give up their time to hear what you have to say/think.
We are getting better at this, gradually smoothing out the rough edges. We might go one more month free before we start asking people to chip in but I promise that we will not ask for a dime until every kink is worked out, and everyone knows exactly what they’ll be getting and when.
For now, the schedule is Mon - which we will likely always keep free, and then regular Tues/Thursday, the newsletter will contain 2-4 stories depending on length. Friday will contain 3 shorter stories, the Friday Pick Six, and random thoughts. I am still considering doing perhaps a Sunday Deep Dive, one article, more extensively researched and in-depth. I plan to work for the $5-6 a month I would charge and hope to earn the subscriptions. Please tell family and friends if you’re enjoying what you’re getting. Please email me or DM me on Twitter with suggestions for improvements or requests.
Last, if/when people start commenting (and I know how many are reading, so it’s quite a few already) I promise to participate whenever possible.
