Few Noticed: Trump Just Promised Military Law Enforcement, Federal Law Enforcement in Schools
Let's put in all in context while acknowledging that Trump could still win.
Earlier this week, on Monday, February 20th (While Biden was overseas), Trump - almost unnoticed, made two of the most terrifying promises he has ever made. Trump is the world’s greatest liar, but in certain contexts, he tells the brutal truth.
First, I’m going to set out his statements. Next, I’m going to explain what I think he’s anticipating and why he made these promises, and then why I now believe there’s far too much danger that Trump could actually be re-elected. Last, I’ll describe how he could quite easily get away with it. There is no point in saying anything further without getting right to Trump’s horrifying statements.
Planning. Dark plans.
First, he promised he was ready to dive straight into fascism:
This is the man who says he’s going to determine of the law is enforced properly.
I would ask you to pause for just a few seconds and actually picture what that would look like. The United States military, probably riding tanks, would be charged with enforcing the law in the “blue” cities he listed. He could just as easily have said “New York, Washington DC, and Atlanta,” though that might give too much away too early. Promising to federalize law enforcement in those cities would ensure that the mainstream media would report it clearly. He is not ready for that yet. He has a primary to win. He also all but ensures that white people have almost nothing to worry about.
Were that not enough, he promised to federalize, sending the FBI or other federal law enforcement into America’s schools.
He is dancing around what he plans to do. But again, promising federal enforcement in schools.
The only means by which Trump could send the military to enforce domestic laws is through the use of the Insurrection Act to quell an insurrection. Only the president has the authority to declare the need for and order martial law to invoke military law enforcement.

What is Trump really saying:
Now, try to time travel to January 20th, 2025. Despite what it seems like now, there is a significant chance that Trump could be elected. The economy could fall apart. The war in Europe could spread with the possibility of Bulgaria, Hungary, and China supplying arms and possible troops with more modern missiles from China.
If Trump wins the election, it would probably be due to Russian interference (They’ve interfered in every election in which Trump has run, according to the FBI prior to the 2020 election). It would be due to a possible SCOTUS ruling allowing state legislatures full control of which electors to send to the electoral college without any court supervision. Imagine Arizona or Pennsylvania’s legislature holding near-kangaroo investigations into election fraud and declaring Trump the winner despite the certification of the secretary of state saying Biden won. There will be state police enforcing new election restrictions. And I anticipate the same escalation in the popular vote we’ve seen before. Perhaps a ten million popular vote win for Biden or the Democrat. Imagine the chaos when an election is truly stolen. Imagine Trump getting the election to the House of Representatives, where he would win despite a clear Democratic victory.
Imagine the liberal outrage and possible violence. Imagine Trump feeling pressured by indictments in Georgia and New York. States don’t have to honor a policy that disallows DOJ to put the president through a criminal trial nor a pardon by Trump himself.
Trump has repeatedly said that the country has gone to hell. He would be in a position where he could justify invoking the Insurrection Act on the first day in office. If the national guard refused to be militarized, he could send the federal military in or more likely a combination of both, firing leaders at the Pentagon until he hit upon a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs to carry out his order.
Many of the protests would be centered at the nation’s universities and even high schools. Trump isn’t going after 13-year-old vapers.

He has a remarkable ability to believe that everyone in charge is aligned against him on “Trumped up” charges. He has always appeared willing to burn the country down in order to save himself.
There is almost no question that most Republicans would back him.
First, the majority of Republicans, MAGA or not, believe that the last election was stolen from him in some way, whether it was “2000 mules” (Dumping ballot boxes with “fake votes,” which is impossible, and yet all too many believe him. Or even Twitter, “suppressing information” on Hunter’s laptop, for God’s sake. Just yesterday, the otherwise brilliant physicist, mathematician, and market analyst said that Twitter denied the American people deprived the American people of a fair and free election.
There were no fake conversations among the FBI. The FBI said that the Hunter laptop story was not reliable because it bore all the indices of Russian interference.
Then there is a terrifying quote by an anonymous source made to Joe Scarborough by a pillar of Washington as to the direction that the GOP is prepared to go:
I had two conversations yesterday," Scarborough said. "One with a family member and one with a Washington fixture, since the days of Ronald Reagan. Both were talking about how the FBI was the gestapo and they needed to be stamped out, spoke of revolution, and the Washington fixture, a guy who I always considered to be a mainstream conservative, a guy who, in the past at least, expressed concerns about some of Donald Trump's extremities, said to me, 'Joe, we can replace the U.S. government."
"It's not about the government, it's about an individual," he added. "Here's a guy that said we can throw away Madisonian democracy, we can throw away the Bill of Rights, we can throw away the Constitution.
A pillar of Washington since Reagan. A Republican moderate. Ready to replace the government in favor of a person. My guess - it’s just a guess - is that Joe talked to Chuck Grassley.
This is the Republican party.
This is the Republican party as of right now, and one is even angrier about this “woke” stuff and more, set out below. Just Wednesday, Marjorie Taylor Green proposed a national divorce.
Room to roam and certain choke points.
What about the good people in the U.S. Government? Couldn’t they stop much of this? I revisit an older topic, the U.S. “America First Policy Institute” PAC in Washington, specifically preparing to be ready to go on “Day One.” Notice that they’re not concerned about winning the election.
From Axios, noting the first executive order would be to make federal employees fireable without cause. Saving only loyalists:
The impact could go well beyond typical conservative targets such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Internal Revenue Service. Trump allies are working on plans that would potentially strip layers at the Justice Department — including the FBI, and reaching into national security, intelligence, the State Department and the Pentagon, sources close to the former president say.
The heart of the plan is derived from an executive order known as “Schedule F,” developed and refined in secret over most of the second half of Trump’s term and launched 13 days before the 2020 election.
They attempted this in 2020, but they did it too late. This group meets such that they can hit the ground running in 2020. Anyone in government resisting Trump’s actions will be fired immediately.
Summary
I never believed Trump was actually going to run in 2024. I believed it was about money, and I believed Michael Cohen, who said, “Trump is too afraid of losing twice.” The far too-late federal criminal investigation seems to be forcing Trump to actually run.
The first time around, in 2016, Trump won on “owning the libs.” In 2024, after what Republicans believed to be a rigged or stolen election, after what they see as the “weaponization of government,” after the meme that the Left and corporate America are forcing the Right to swallow all things “woke,” at a time when it’s acceptable for a MAGA leader Marjorie Taylor Greene to propose a National divorce, the minority Right may be ready to use those guns. Trump organized a massive attack on the Capitol with a wink. Imagine January 20th, 2025, Trump signing the Insurrection Act and asking his supporters to form militias and “help support the law.” If you live in a red or purple state, or country or small town, imagine seeing ten guys with pickups and guns, wearing some “trumped-up uniform,” stopping every car.
I have always thought DeSantis would beat Trump with “all the MAGA, none of the baggage.” But if Trump is indicted somewhere, nothing prevents him from continuing to run for president, a trial and verdict before January, 20th, 2025 will be all but impossible. The SCOTUS may take appeals that allow him to run out the clock. The MAGA-Right may want Trump in a position to punish the left, which - again, is what they want this time around.
Trump already told us he would send the military into cities that are not enforcing the law properly. That is fascism. He already promised to federalize enforcement at the schools. He means colleges and uprisings.
He is telling us, and we better damned well listen. He told us in 2016 and no one believed he could do it (“Guardrails” failed, nearly completely on January 6th), and he did it. NO ONE thought he could win in 2016. He won, likely with a lot of help. With the country on the verge of chaos, imagine the “help” he will get. (Provided Putin is in power and China wants to move on Taiwan.)
The moment I heard these promises, I moved quickly on formalizing my daughter’s Canadian citizenship. I have a responsibility to give her the best shot at a safe, fulfilling life, not fight off MAGAs, not at age 52. The deadline is December 2024.
We better listen and spread the word.
