Bannon Transcripts from Jan. 4-5th Prove Conspiracy and Attempted Coup
Media Matters put a compilation together, clips taken from Steve Bannon’s podcast/streaming show from January 3rd this year until January 5th. As I published yesterday in PoliticusUSA, it is - perhaps - not the type of evidence that would hold up as proof beyond a reasonable doubt in a courtroom. But it does prove to reasonable people that January 6th was a planned conspiracy and the planning had to go very high, with the goal of removing Mike Pence from the Capitol.
One should ask, how high must a conspiracy go if the Secret Service might be in on it? If the military might be in on it? And if the FBI and DOJ appear to be in on it?
The video is inserted below the transcripts. The clip flips around on dates, all were taken from days before January 6th, but we take them in the order presented in the video, starting on January 5th:
It's not going to happen like you think it's going to happen. It is going to be quite different, extraordinarily different. And all I can say is strap in. The war room, a posse. YOU have made this happen, and tomorrow it is Game Day.
President Trump's first term is ending with action, and the second term is going to begin with a BANG. That, we guarantee you...
Tape Skips: Here we believe he’s referring to what’s about to happen on Thursday (the 6th) when he anticipates that Pence will not be present to count the votes and a constitutional fight that will then ensue through the weekend as to the next step:
... And so the fight's [on]. This is a huge weekend. There is going to be so much going on behind the scenes, a massive fight. We're heading toward the sixth of "June" (he clearly means January, there was no rally June 6th.)
There's a lot happening this week. People getting revved up, people are getting fired up. People and I are getting madder, as they should.
Break in the tape:
You and I happened to be on a call last night, it was so brilliant, to go through the framework of this week.
(This was January 5th and anticipating the fight to go to Congress with Pence gone. Remember, Pence refused to get into a Secret Service SUV deep below the Capitol, fearing a Secret Service conspiracy. If Pence had not counted the E.C. votes, the vote for president may have gone to the House of Representatives where it would be one state, one vote, states like Wyoming, Alaska, and the Dakotas weighing equally with California, New York, Illinois, and Massachusets. Trump would have won, 27-22.)
..."[T]here are a lot of tough hombres down there and I saw some of them when we had meetings down there... They were all still reviewing their plans for the day. Like one or two in the morning. I think the people are jacked up...
Tape seems to skip:
They are all going to converge on January the 6th. We just have to impose our will on the opposition.
There it is, as far as I am concerned. “Impose our will.” The entire reason we have a Constitution is to prevent people from “imposing their will” with violence. To win the presidency, they just must impose their will.
We are hurtling toward something that's going to be complicated and it's going to be nasty. Nothing could be more turbulent than what's going to happen this week....
... You've got to be there, this is going to be historic, remember this is like how the Republic fell, right? And became a totalitarian, authoritarian empire. We're at that moment…
…Are we going to affirm the massive landslide or Donald Trump or are we going to return the constitutional republic to the "forces..."
The next paragraph sounds like it comes before the 6th, and it explains why they have picked January 6th to be the day:
"... or one of these big days, January 6th was going to be that day and you had to converge everything down to January 6th.
This is a wound that will not heal, we are hurtling toward a constitutional crisis that is going to make the impeachment (first one) look like a Sunday picnic...
From January 4th:
"This is going to be a historic day, it is going to be part of history. We want as many people to get on it as possible. 48 Hours away..."
With Giuliani
"48 hours away from... [indecipherable, Rudy buts in] consequential days in American History.”
It sort of puts Lauren Boebert’s “It’s 1776” tweet in perspective doesn’t it?
The other thing it does is that it indicts the entire law enforcement apparatus. Steve Bannon was essentially telling his audience to prepare for war on January 6th. Where was the National Guard? Where were the extra police? The FBI had to know. The NSA knows what I am typing right now. They didn’t know?
Additionally, we must never forget that the Secret Service wanted to rush Pence out of the Capitol complex in an SUV and he refused to go out of fear of a conspiracy. The Vice President of the United States trusted his own bodyguard from the Secret Service, but he did not trust the anonymous agents in the SUV. It seems that most reasonable people would read that as proof that Pence at least suspected a conspiracy was afoot.
If the Vice President suspects there is a conspiracy afoot, the conspiracy must go awfully high up.
And this is why Bannon would rather face contempt charges rather than face Congress and invoke the 5th Amendment on nearly every question.
Video from Media Matters:
Is it proof of a conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt? No, it is critical evidence, to be put alongside other evidence, of a conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt.
All of this was available to law enforcement. In this case, absence of evidence is evidence of absence, which adds to the conspiracy that is fairly obvious to a reasonable person.”
And now we know why Bannon prefers a felony contempt charge over answering the committee’s questions.

Thank you for all the support. Happy Sunday Everyone!
I was actually asked if there was a way readers could give some financial support, for all the work coming out and… I suppose. If one is moved to show some support, any amount would be appreciated on Venmo @Jason-Miciak
